Pyhtää

Pyhtää is an active bilingual archipelago municipality with good road connections and only an hour from the capital area. The new green motorway enables effortless commuting to Helsinki area or the nearby cities.

The tax rate in Pyhtää is the lowest in the region, only 20,25. A central idea of the strategy of Pyhtää is to be a business friendly municipality.

There are two main population centres in Pyhtää, Kirkonkylä and Siltakylä. The majority of Pyhtää’s administration and services is located in Siltakylä and Kirkonkylä has developed into a pleasant residential area with a school and versatile leisure activities.

Our house lot selection is abundant an reasonably priced. The aim is to enhance high-quality living close to nature and with plenty of space and also to enable a well-functioning everyday life.

In addition to the population centres there are about ten villages and in addition to the Huutjärvi school centre in Siltakylä, we are proud of no less than three active village schools. There are six kindergartens and the library offers versatile services.

Pyhtää can also boast with the idyllic Kaunissaari island that is also popular amongst tourists and two national parks that provide an opportunity for independent recreational activities in the pure nature, on land and at sea.

An airfield is being established in Pyhtää at the moment with the intention of it providing new opportunities for business life and the development of new know-how. The Pyhtää airfield will strengthen the position of Kymenlaakso as the logistics region of Finland.

Ongoing development projects are e.g. the development of Keihässalmi archipelago village and the expansion of Kaunissaari harbor.

The annual main event is Saaristomarkkinat, an archipelago fair that is held in the Lököre small boat harbor. The fair offers a varied program, handicraft demonstrations as well as harvest produce and fish.

A hybrid building, Pyhtäänlinna, combining living, services and working will rise on Huutjärvi lake’s shore in the autumn of 2019

The four topmost floors of the 6-floor elevator building will consist of studios and 1- and 2-bedroom flats. The municipal office will occupy a part of the second floor and the information desk will be located on the first floor (ground floor).

There will also be business premises and a restaurant on the ground floor.

Motellinranta is located on a scenic waterside area by the Huutjärvi lake. Some of the flats and business premises have a direct view to the lake. Pyhtäänlinna is an answer to the shortage of business premises and flats in Pyhtää.

The zoning allows the total of four high rises in Motellinranta. If the demand exceeds the supply, can the work on the next building be commenced relatively quickly.

All the basic services, such as daycare, schooling, a library, a healthcare centre and shops are all close by and within easy reach.

The area has excellent road connections and it is located in close proximity of a junction of the E18/VT7 motorway. It only takes 60 minutes to get to the capital city area and Kotka is within a short distance to the other direction.
